Financial District
The Financial District, also known as FiDi, is a neighborhood located at the southern tip of Manhattan, New York City. It is bounded by the East River to the east, Battery Park to the south, Broadway to the west, and Chambers Street to the north. The Financial District is the heart of New York City’s financial industry, and is home to the New York Stock Exchange, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and the headquarters of many major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and Citigroup. The neighborhood is known for its iconic skyscrapers, including the One World Trade Center and the Empire State Building, as well as historic buildings such as the Woolworth Building and the New York Stock Exchange. In addition to its financial institutions, the Financial District also features several tourist attractions, including the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, Battery Park, and the South Street Seaport. The Financial District has a mix of commercial and residential buildings, with a growing number of high-end apartment buildings and luxury condominiums. The neighborhood is well-connected to the rest of the city, with several subway lines and ferry services serving the area.
